About Us
The support group is open to any child with diabetes and offers support to them and their families.
It organises an annual weekend away for 25 children who are under the care of RD&E accompanied by their medical staff. It aims to restore children's self-confidence and self-esteem and help them understand and manage their own diabetes.
The weekend also offers the parents and siblings of the child with diabetes some respite.
The group also organises days out open to all families whose children suffer from diabetes. This gives the parents and children a chance to talk about diabetes to each other.
SnackPack is a self funding charity that relies on donations and fund raising events by our members. If you feel you could help in some way, please contact us.
